Shuto League Team Introduction
MOCCOS
Team Name:
Moccos Rugby Football Club
Team HP:
http://www6.plala.or.jp/moccos/
Founded:
1978
History:
Legend has it that at a Kumamoto High School Rugby old boys reunion someone proclaimed (in a thick Kumamoto accent) "we canne simply sit heere dooin' nothin' but drinkin all the time!", which is what started the move to put the team together. The name "Moccos" comes from the expression "Higo Mokkosu" - which is Kumamoto dialect for a 'Hard Kumamoto Man'.
Contact:
Kenji Kitami
Team Members:
Nowadays, most of the team is made up of people other than Kumamoto High oldboys. The average age of the team keeps creeping upward, but we are made up of players from their 20s to their 60s, everyone battling with their precious fighting spirit.
Joined Shuto:
1984
Jersey:
1st: White
2nd: Three bands of white, red and navy.
Training:
On the Edogawa Riverbank near the Higashi Koiwa 2 Chome Bus Stop.
Philosophy & Team Goal:
Our team has no particular policy to it. Our focus is simply to work up a good sweat and have a nice beer afterwards (Hang about! Add some shochu to that as well!!)
